Perspektivwechsel (Change of perspective)

In October 2024, as part of the global Inktober project, I created a digital drawing every day. The basis for these drawings was the official Inktober prompt list (see below).

In October 2024, under the title "Changing Perspectives," I created a series of digital drawings - a daily exploration of the official prompt list of the global Inktober project.

Each drawing began with a single word. From this emerged 31 visual reflections on the relationship between humanity and the environment - on proximity and distance, scale and meaning. The series asks: What if we didn't place ourselves at the center? What is revealed when we think of ourselves as smaller?

In stark black and white, the drawings move between observing nature and exploring inner pictorial space. Humans often appear as tiny figures - traveling on the back of an animal, juxtaposed with a microcosm that towers above them. Nature here is not a decorative backdrop, but an active participant, a counterpart, a co-conductor.

Shifting perspectives is, for me, a form of drawing meditation. A daily exercise in seeing things differently. An invitation to rethink our role in a vulnerable, resistant world - with delicate strokes, clear lines, and a poetic eye.
