#ichhabeauchMigraine (I also have migraines) is an artistic statement on the visibility of migraine - a neurological condition that affects millions of people yet often remains invisible in everyday society.
In response to the social media campaign #ichhabeauchMigräne by the German Migraine League (Migräneliga e.V.) together with Professor Dagny Holle-Lee (@migraene_doc), in which those affected publicly shared their professional identities and their experiences with migraine, the artist collected over 100 of these voices and condensed them into a visual archive.
The poster depicts shadowy figures, each representing an individual with migraines, anonymized yet visible in the space. Behind the figures are job titles - a reference to the diverse roles, lifestyles, and achievements of those affected, who remain active despite the burden of migraine.
The artistic gesture creates a spatial metaphor: many individual stories combine to form an image that doesn't explain but rather makes tangible - presence, diversity, community.
The work is simultaneously a social space, a document of diversity, and an invitation to reflect on invisibility, participation, and social perception.
The poster is available in two limited editions:
A2 edition for medical practices and institutions (signed, numbered, €500) – places where migraines can be made visible and reflection can be encouraged.
A3 edition for private spaces (signed, limited edition, €180) – for people who want to display the work in their everyday lives.
