As part of the Waterkant Festival's future exhibition, I am presenting various artistic and interactive works on living with migraines under the title "Reizräume".

For many years, the Waterkant Festival has brought together people from art, science, society, and technology to reflect on future challenges and bring new ideas to life. The accompanying exhibition showcases projects at the intersection of innovation, society, and design.

The central question in "Reizräume" is how to make migraine and chronic overstimulation visible and comprehensible.

Visitors can try out the interactive game "Migraine Management" on site, a digital "choose your own adventure" format about everyday decisions with chronic migraines. The original artist's book, from which the game originated, is also available.

In addition, a sample copy of the coloring and activity book "Making Migraine Visible" will be on display. The book combines creative exercises, reflection, and medical knowledge into an artistic-medical format for people with migraine. Coloring postcards will also be available, inviting readers to actively participate, share their thoughts, or take home some of the images.

The exhibition also includes a large-format, participatory version of the poster project #ichhabeauchMigraine (I also have migraine). This work originated from a social media campaign by the Migraine League (MigräneLiga e.V.) in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Dagny Holle-Lee, in which people affected by migraine spoke publicly about their experiences with migraine and their work. Visitors who themselves suffer from migraine can color in figures on site and thus become part of a growing visual archive.

Additionally, the Tarot card set Je ne sais pas will also be shown – an artistic exploration of uncertainty, perception and the elusive experiences of chronic migraine.
